At the last stair of life they faced disparity and disgrace from our societies. Although today’s societies was initiated via their role. Who are they? They are last age line step in the ground person. They are Senior citizen of ours. We have necessitate to promote the and preserve older people’s rights.We have responsibilities and duties for exchanging their contribution. That’s the belief of my mind the cultural group members of Dall pronima Ramnagar Shilpogosthi at Shekhpura Union in Dinajpur district run through the whole union with their self-enthusiastic for the promoting the rights of older people.
Ajit Adhikari(33) the group leader of the Dall pronima Ramnagar Shilpogosthi moving to his union and discuss with the local governments representative UP chairman, Members, CBO’s NGO’s and his local communities, They also try to involve with local cultural program with their drama where indicated overall older rights issue. The cultural group members of Dall pronima Ramnagar Shilpogosthi Mr. dulal Chandro (35) Dalmohon(30), Mohadev Roy (38), Chondro Kumar Roy (26), Premnondo Roy (43), Laxmikanto ray (40) consisted a plan for campaign from their self steward.
The group leader goes on the bazaar every week in a day for one or two hour to discuss and disseminate older rights and duties of ours to ensure rights and promote them from the real situation in his/ her family, society.
Ajit Adhikari(33) said that, “one day we are so much young and our parents take care of us and they raise us with their best contribution. But they are now older peoples and isolated from the family and societies.When we discuss with the community people about older people’s rights. We just ask them do remember your child life, do you enjoy your young life, do you ever think your older life what is full of discrepancy and dishonor seen of our circumstance. What we do in the present time to the older people , this will come back in the future in our life. That’s the point where everyone going to stop.’’
The chairman said that “ they are sensitized and cherished heir mind to ensure older people’s rights. They also arrange a informal meeting with me by the assistance of Non-government organization BOHUBRIHY. In the meeting they want to make a policy and action plan for make certain rights of older peoples.When we ask the group why you and your group campaign older people’s rights. Mr Ajit Adhkari said , older people of our societies leads a hell life with lack of food security, Household, treatment dignity and many of problem. We are known all of this situation of them. But we don’t think about that.’’
Another of the member of this group Mr. Laxmikanto ray (40) said, when trained about older rights issue and campaign activities from the Non-government organization BOHUBRIHY. We were realize that, It is essential for us not for the NGO’s to ensure older people rights. Our awareness of ensuring older people’s rights transpired achieve when we completed our `stage performance on older rights issue’ by BOHUBRIBRI and HelpAge International Bangladesh. We want work to ensure older rights issue in our whole life. Because we will be old in the near future.
