CC Desk: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon said that the National Eidgah is completely ready for Eid congregation.

The City Mayor made the assertion while visiting the Eidgah field on the Supreme Court premises in the capital on Friday afternoon.

Sayeed Khokon said that if the weather remains favourable, the first jamaat (congregation) will be held in the Eidgah at 8:30am.

He also said that Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) took adequate measures ahead of Eid congregation.

In case of inclement weather, the jamaat will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Necessary arrangements have been set up at the Eidgah for over lakh devotees, Sayeed Khokon said.

Besides, arrangements for around ten thousand women are available at one side of the Eidgah with a separate entrance, he added.

Both the city corporations have arranged 361 congregations in the city this year.
